Decor Unique started in 1982 as a home-party sales business with reps selling prints, mats, and frames. In 1986 they moved into their first retail location at Broadway and Gilbert in Mesa, Arizona, where they then added a boutique with home decor products and gifts. They stayed in that location with 1,500 square feet of space until 1999 when they moved to their present location located at Lindsay Road north of Main in Mesa with 3,500 square feet of retail space. In June of 2006 Decor Unique opened their second retail building with 6,500 square feet on Higley Road south of Baseline in Gilbert, Arizona. The sheer size of their new store enables them to showcase beautiful furniture and oversize art. Decor Unique is owned and operated by Russ & Barb Runyan, and has been in business for over 25 years. Several of their children have been employed with Decor Unique in the past, as Decor Unique is a family business.
